I visited The Barn at Castle Rock for the first time last week. If you’re like me and did not even know about this venue at all before, that makes two of us!

The drive from Interstate 24 up the mountain to Castle Rock is beautiful. On the trip there I actually ended up driving through a tiny corner of TN, GA and AL! You’ll know you have arrived once you enter the dramatic Castle Rock gates.

I met the owners, Virginia and Lee. They are super friendly and passionate about what they do.

The barn interior

Normally ceremonies are held outside in front of the pond. If the weather isn’t cooperative the barn is plenty large enough for an indoor ceremony.

The Barn at Castle Rock also offers an in-house DJ with uplighting. This venue photographs so well, I can already imaging a filled dance floor with all your closest friends and family celebrating here!

Bride’s suite

On the right side of the barn is the bride’s suite. There is lots of room for everyone in here.

Groom’s suite

Also on the right side of the barn is the groom’s suite.

Unique features: 7 ponds on the property. Although there wasn’t one the day I visited, I know there are some amazing sunsets waiting to be photographed at The Barn at Castle Rock!

We enjoyed our visit so much it was dark when I next looked outside. I initially went out to photograph the pond at night. Then a random idea came to me, I asked what they thought about lighting the front of the barn with a little uplighting. Lee and Virginia knew exactly what I was thinking, and within minutes Lee had the front of the barn looking cheery and bright.
