The History at Marblegate Farm

On the large stone retaining wall is this plac telling the story of how Marblegate got it’s name.

Over 70 years ago in the heart of East Tennessee’s marble industry, a train carrying huge marble blocks derailed on a peninsula in Friendsville, TN.

The marble was left where it fell, along with the abandoned railway. In 1996, the property was purchased by Bill and Donna Cobble and they named it Marblegate Farm, naturally!

The raw marble was used to create the iconic stone pillars at Marblegate’s entrance

Marblegate barn

Across the lawn from the venue hall sits the barn. This barn is a photographer’s dream, the cream color goes with any wedding theme. It’s picture perfect and post-card pretty!

The grooms suite and bridal suite

The girls get ready at the Farmhouse while the guys are on the other side of the venue with a lakeview.

The grooms suite is roomy with some window light for beautiful getting ready photo options..

The Farmhouse

The farmhouse has the classic southern font porch with rockers begging everyone to sit and stay a while. The kitchen is rooster themed with lots of blue. The showstopper is the room the bride gets ready in! Nothing compares to these windows that reach the second floor.
