Knoxville Fall Portraits Darby

Some say that Fall for wedding photographers is like April for tax preparers and it’s so true! Fall is such a crazy fun busy season for us, but I’m very grateful for it. I love this time of year for so many reasons, but the beautiful seniors and soon to be seniors I get to work with throughout the months of October and November are definitely some of my favorites!.

I met Darby by way of her brother at the hockey rink. Coach Bob said to me “Nelya, I have two more guys for you today…” One of these two was Darby’s brother, a quiet focused hockey player trying to learn as much as he could. I have this habit of asking parents of young enthusiastic hockey players if they have other children who might be interested in coming out on the ice. I can’t help myself, I love preaching the good news of hockey! Next thing I know I’m enthusiastically talking To Darby’s mom about photographing weddings and people! Fast forward to this gorgeous fall day here we were, shoeing her brothers away and showcasing Darby’s beauty! Her confidence and her sense of humor are irresistible and a pleasure to be around. We had moments where we just tried not to laugh the whole time!

We started Darby’s session at her home by their rose bushes in her front yard and these have definitely become new favorites!!!
