What is the best time to get married at The Woodlands?
Howe Farms Venues are beautiful wedding all year round. However, some seasons may be more suitable than others depending on your preferences.
- April. May and June: Spring is a lovely time to get married at The Woodlands. The weather is mild and pleasant, and the gardens flowers are blooming. You can enjoy the fresh air and the picturesque setting with natural surroundings. From a photography perspective, the days are longer so you have more daylight after your ceremony for golden hour photographs.
- September October and November: fall in East Tennessee is always a favorite, the nights begin to cool off and the leaves start to change colors. It’s the peak wedding season for good reason.
- March: The most overlooked wedding month. I love the lighting and longer days in March right after the time change. The weather is cooler, so if you hate being hot March is worth it.
The Woodlands Ceremony Locations
The Woodlands offers two ceremony locations for you to choose from:
- Indoor Ceremony Space
- To begin with, the most worried about question, What do we do if it rains? This venue has the most beautiful indoor ceremony option. The fireplace room with arched glass windows that let in an abundance of light. Lovely for airconditioned summer ceremonies and heated winter ceremonies.
- Outdoor Ceremony Space
- Tall columns covered with vines in the Georgetown countryside. The bride arrives in a vintage car to walk down the aisle.
Need a Photographer…

- The northside of the patio
- The Garden
- The Gate
- The walkway through the trees
- The Bridal suite
- The fireplace room
- The sunset hill
- The Balcony
Why I love working here
Wonderful couples make wonderful photos
The differences between good and excellent, my clients notice the difference and will do whatever it takes for creative photography. …step out during dinner to catch the sunset or plan some time during the reception for dramatic nighttime photos.
Great Vendors
As a professional photographer I work with a lot of vendors. Fortunately, for me it’s always a great experience with the planners on the Howe Farms vendor list, they give me the time I need for photographs, they keep things on time and they make sure I eat dinner before I leave for the night.
Multiple great photo locations
As a wedding photographer, the most important thing a venue can have is great photo locations. Whether is an indoor fireplace room ceremony or an outdoor wedding the Woodlands has something for everyone.

Wedding Receptions
Wedding reception locations at the Woodlands at Howe Farms are just as beautiful as the ceremony locations. When Talene was designing this venue, no details have been left to chance.
Reception Space
Guests enter a spacious room with arched windows and a decorative spiral staircase. A large back patio that wraps around to the gardens which you and your guests will have easy access to.
