An Indigo Falls Wedding
Brandee and Kevin are married! They celebrated their wedding day at Indigo Falls in Dallas GA. Everything was in one location, and it was gorgeous!
When Brandee and I were playing on the same team I was bringing my camera onto the bench with me and trying to take photos between shifts. I’d play a shift, come back to the bench, toss my gloves off, pick up my camera, and try to take photos! This is with my helmet still on and completely out of breath! Lets put it this way, when I stopped trying play hockey and photograph at the same time, just concentrated on taking photos my work improved by 1000%. 🙂
Hockey has always been one of those happy places in my life. So getting to photograph a hockey teammate’s wedding was pretty special!
The weather was super warm for October.
We all assumed by October the weather at Indigo Falls in north Georgia would be a bit cooler, but this was not the day.
Brandee handled the unplanned earth-soaking rain shower right before the ceremony with grace and matter of factness. Tonya handled transitioning to plan B inside the chapel so smoothly you would have thought that was the plan right from the start.
Kevin and Brandee,
Thank you for choosing me to document your wedding day!
It was such an honor to be the one to capture your beautiful moments and meet your families. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your honeymoon in Florida!!
Much love, Nelya
Here are some of my favorite moments and images that tell the story of their day!!! …
The outdoor ceremony location has a view of the water and was plan A …
At the last minute we ended up with rain. Not just a little but a lot! So we went to plan B. The indoor chapel at Indigo Falls.
Nobody got wet and it was air conditioned.
By the time the ceremony was over the sun was back out just in time for more photos.
To use one groomsman’s words, This place is cool, it looks like something from Star wars!
My favorite part of the night is always when we leave the reception briefly for some fun photos! This was tricky, Not because it was dark or anything lighting related but because it was so humid that my lens fogged up so badly right after this shot that I had to stop to wipe it off!
They left in this car! Brandee’s Uncle’s 1968 Camaro!! Scroll to the end of the post to see slideshow with more Car photos 🙂
What a night! Brandee and Kevin’s wedding was perfect!!
