The History
2016 The Beginning
Bill mentions “we” have cleared all of this land as he motions over to his Kubota tractor.
In 2016 I visited Hiwassee River Weddings, I met Bill, and I heard about his dream taking shape. His overflowing enthusiasm and passion for this project of building a venue is inspiring! He grew up in East Tennessee with a love for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. All of his life, he had worked for someone else and wondered what it would be like to invest all his time and energy into his own dream. What if that dream could become his story not just a dream?
When he first saw the 19 acre property on the river he just knew there was something special about it.
One day it was time. He came to the point where he realized that he didn’t want to go through life and one day regret not going through with his dream of making the property into a wedding and event venue. It had been a dream for years to do something like this—something risky and something great, Bill knew this was going to be a lot of hard work. It was worth the risk.
Today that dream is part of his story.
