Sun Dance Farm Knoxville wedding

We met though through Instagram and a mutual friend  who came out to help coach a little kids hockey practice one March day in Knoxville.
Holly had spent her days at the ice rink though we’d never run into each other, we just had practices on different days.
Holly had always said she’d like me to be her wedding photographer at her future wedding. That day came this past weekend!

The day started out a little rough. It was raining. We all mentally prepared ourselves for plan B, an indoor ceremony. Tropical storm Cindy was predicted to still be hanging around and sharing more rain with us. Holly had always imagined a beautiful outdoor ceremony on her wedding day. So she asked all her friends and coworkers to pray for no rain long enough for an outdoor ceremony. It cleared up with some sunshine long enough to just barely squeeze in the whole ceremony!

Holly and Ivan,
thank you for allowing me to document your amazing love story. This is just the beginning! I hope you enjoy your honeymoon in Arizona and the rest of this great adventure called life together. I hope you love my favorite moments of your day!!! There were so many that I loved and it was hard to narrow it down!
Much Love, Nelya

Southern Sirens did an outstanding job with Holly’s beautiful hair and makeup and adding in her favorite yellow roses.

Their long time friend Jason officiated the wedding and prayed with them during their “no-look” prayer before the ceremony.

Ivan rode dirt bikes at The Mountain track, the same track I’ve photographed dirt bike friends at. We were never there on the same day and had never actually met there. Seeing his dirt bike track grooms cake made me think of all my motofamily/ friends and

The maid of honor and best man sang the most amazing toast ever!!

We ended with a balloon exit.  I’d spent the days leading up to this wedding saying how I really wasn’t sure how I was going to photograph this exit. There were so many variables, would it be dark, would there be a sunset, would it rain, would people even come outside if it was raining? 5 minutes before the scheduled exit It was raining a steady drizzle. Vicky, the owner at Sun Dance Farm lent me a clear bag to protect my flash from the steady rain. The guests were the best, and all came out in the warm summer rain to see Holly and Ivan off!
