Smoky Mountain Waterfall Elopement

When Melissa was here visiting Knoxville last fall, Tim said they should go for a hike at one of the trails in Gatlinburg since they hadn’t done that yet. They chose Laurel Falls. They got to the falls and took some photos. As soon as two ladies who were also there left and they had the whole place to themselves Tim told her the real reason we were there was so he could ask her to marry him, and he got down on one knee and asked! She of course said yes!

They chose to get married in the same place he’d proposed and planned their waterfalls elopement for a beautiful day in March. The forecast was for rain and sun all day. We got a little bit of everything. On the way up the trail we got misted on but the sun came out in time for the ceremony at the top of the trail at the waterfall.

Melissa and Tim,
thank you for being two of the most wonderful people.  I’m thrilled to have been a part of your perfect wedding day elopement. Happy to count you as friends and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both! See you at the rink soon!
Much Love Nelya

Melissa hiked up the trail in her wedding dress and changed into heels at the top. She wore the most adorable short lace open back dress from Lulus.

Tim’s just there beaming at Melissa!

The crowd got a front row seat at the waterfalls wedding! When Mikey “You may kiss your bride” the crowd of hikers cheered loudly over the roar of the waterfalls and congratulated and wished them well.

If you’re a SPHL, Knoxville Ice Bears fan, Knoxville Speed fan, fan of Hockey in general, you may remember these guys playing at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in the not so distant past. My first memory of watching hockey in Knoxville was seeing a #16, a kinda short scrappy player getting into it with the defense around the opposing team’s net. The crowd just loved it! They explained Mike was a crowd favorite.
